In 2018, Spokane Public Library launched an information-only campaign “Imagine the Library of the Future” that aimed to strategically reach more than half of Spokane’s population with information pertaining to a November 2018 bond measure to remodel and build new libraries. Due in part to this campaign, City of Spokane Bond Proposition 1 passed on November 6, 2018 with 64.54% approval. Learn about the tactics implemented and how the leadership inspired the Library’s biggest asset – staff – to speak to citizens about the measure. The Spokane Public Library won the 2019 John Cotton Dana Award for this strategic campaign.
