As the one truly interdisciplinary space on campus, libraries are well positioned to play a leadership role in initiatives that engage all schools and colleges. In this session, you’ll learn how the Wayne State University Library System put on the campus wide STEAM Challenge, a competition that brought interdisciplinary student teams together to pitch ideas to solve real problems in Detroit. From creating innovative content and promotional materials and holding interactive community workshops, to engaging the campus community to participate and watch, the Libraries energized the entire campus over a six-month period, leading to a successful and exciting pitch competition.
