Show Don't Tell: How Programs Communicate Priorities, Values, and Brand

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

"Show don't tell" is a maxim in creative writing workshops. Don’t just say what your character is thinking/feeling...show the reader through the character’s actions what they are thinking/feeling. But it is as applicable to the relationship between libraries programming and libraries communications and marketing. Don’t just tell your user communities what your priorities and values are...show them! In this session, hear how a collaboration between a program planning and outreach unit and an external relations unit has maximized the impact of each, while bringing their organization’s stories to life.
